Sydney Swans Confirm 2022 Fixture

The Sydney Swans will mark their return to the SCG in Round 2 of the 2022 AFL season in a clash against the Geelong Cats, the AFL has confirmed.
The Swans-Cats fixture (7.50pm Friday, March 25) is the first of 11 home games to be played at the SCG.
Sydney kick-off their season in a crosstown derby against GWS in Round 1 at Accor Stadium (Stadium Australia).
Star forward Lance 'Buddy' Franklin is perfectly poised to eclipse the magical milestone of 1,000 career goals in the opening rounds, sitting with 995 majors to his name headed into the 2022 season.
“Our first home game of the year will be a blockbuster Friday night match at the SCG against Geelong, which will follow the season opening Sydney Derby at Accor Stadium. What a great way to celebrate the start of the AFL season in Sydney," Swans CEO Tom Harley said.
“In what the AFL has released so far, we have a great mix of time slots for fans, from blockbuster night games to the popular day and twilight fixtures at the SCG."
